    3. Hi Kerry Thanks for that info. I have to admit I haven't had much of a look at it as yet - I found it while doing a Google search for things about the Queanbeyan Museum (yes, I have plenty of that now!). I think I will take your advice and contact them, even though I was not necessarily going to add anything of my own to the site (that would probably depend on that great commodity, time!). 3. Jenny, What were their parents' names? Have you tried alternate spellings e.g. Robison, Robertson, Roberson? There are several Georges and Elizabeths but without knowing their parents' names it's impossible to know which is the correct one. Marie -- No virus found in this outgoing message. 1. [ANS] Robinson - my elusive Great Grandparents
    2. Jenny McCarthy
    3. I am seeking help to scale my brick wall. My Great Grandparents, George Robinson and Elizabeth nee King arrived in Sydney in 1879 and George set up business in the Paddington area firstly as a Tobacconist and then in Oxford Street, Woollahra as a Bicycle Builder. George last appeared in the 1907 Sands Directory at 484 Oxford Street, Woollahra. I can find no trace of either of them after this time. They had 3 daughters, two of whom were married with children and living in Sydney and another daughter remained unmarried and had been living with them. My Mother, their granddaughter, was born in 1909 and never spoke about them at all but there are no death registrations for them in NSW. Any help would be wonderful ..· ´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ ..·´ -:¦:- -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´*.` Jenny McCarthy Brightwaters N.S.W. on beautiful Lake Macquarie

    3. Thanks for pointing out this site, it is as you describe it, very much under construction. Noticeably missing is anything from the Sydney area. Whilst we have the marriages, baptisms and funerals for St. Peters Anglican Church Cooks River on a data base, we are very interested in our local history, and our recently published 'Stanley,' a young man's colonial experience is a good source of not only that but of people in the 1870's in the eastern states of Australia. Once again thank you , Bob and Laurel Horton, St. Peters Cooks River History Group. It appears to be a Centenary of Federation project (i.e. 2000). Most of the content seems to have appeared around 2001. The latest News item mentions a book launch on Wed 19 March. The last time 19 March was a Wednesday was in 2003. Lots of pages (now in 2006) are still under development, suggesting not much has happened since. It's clearly a professionally developed site, which suggests to me that its development probably stopped when the funding finished. It looks like someone had a good idea, but didn't really think through how to develop it in a scalable sustainable way. So, I'd contact them and check if they are still working on the site before sitting down and preparing material for them. Kerry
