Dear Ken, The Society of Australian Genealogists in Kent Street SYDNEY have a large collection of hard copy early Electoral Rolls. In those times you need to know the SubDivision of the Division of the Electoral District. Now, we have them alphabetical state by state on screen at the local office. Kenneth, There is a large cemetery called Pinegrove Memorial Park or something like that, which is on the Great Western Highway at Minchinbury. Many people from the Riverstone and Blacktown areas are buried there. Marie -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Hello List, I am looking for descendants of Richard Ernest Croucher bn 9-6-1903 . Also William Sydney Croucher bn.1-11-1910 and Queenie Croucher bn1-7-1908. My Grandfather was their Uncle and he came to N.Z. in 1900 and it was not till recent years that we knew he had brothers and family in Australia, so I would really like to get in touch with any living relatives. Regards Sue
Dear June, The last time I was there the last Probate Packet available was 598443 so any number under that should be available. The Probate Packet contains more than the will, all the working papers to satisfy the requirements of the will and transfer items to the beneficiaries named in the will, or if no will was left, to those who could prove they had an entitlement to a share of the estate. See www.records.nsw.gov.au Archives in Brief (Information Sheet) 84 Contact me off list, as I am going there next week. Sincerely,Bill > >>I am helping a friend with his research and we would like >>help to find out where we can get a copy of a will for a

Hi All Further to Marg's email re the new Australian Chinese Mailing List, Chinese migrants like all other migrants (British included) to this country are listed in the online NSW Index to Births, Deaths and Marriages from 1788 to 1975. They have always been there. Probate Packets have been released from 1817 to 1963/5 for price of photocopying, ditto deceased estate files from abt 1888 - 1958 My understanding is that after a will has been probated any one can buy copy (but this can cost) NSW State Records are gradually getting the Probate indexes on line in Archives Investigator ....... Thought they had gone past 1923 ? Bye MargM Sydney List Admin
