Dear Verna, Look on the NSW Probate Index to see if they left an estate when they died and at State Records KINGSWOOD you will find the Probate Packet, valuing all property and listing the way it was distributed, plus the will, if they left one. see www.records.nsw.gov.au and look for Archives in Brief 29 and 84. 3. Hi Melissa I noticed HOOK in Blue Mountains on your NSW interest list. Please could send me some details - eg names, approximate date and place/s in the Blue Mountains for the Blue Mountains Family History Society's file. We get queries about former mountain residents and it is very useful if we have the basic details and better still when we can help to make a contact with someone else researching that family. This applies to anyone else with Blue Mountains connections, too, of course. It can be sent to me or to bmfhsweb@isage.net.au Thanks. I'll get round to sending my interest list soon. Joan

If that rings any bells with anyone, please get in touch. ******************************************************** My mother (who's 81 and still going strong) is the niece of Rose Gosling, so if possible, I would especially like to find where Rose O'Reilly is buried, and also the rest of the O'Reillys, if their graves are known. If anyone comes across any of the graves and could take a photo or two, it would really be appreciated. I live in Tiverton, Devon, UK, so it's a bit far to come to look for myself - but hey, any excuse for a holiday...! Thanks for any help you can give, and apologies if the above seems a bit like War & Peace! 3. Hi Melissa, Sorry, but I don't have any knowledge of any O'Reillys other than those listed in my message. Apart from Sylvester (b.1895), all the info I have has been gleaned from the NSW BMD site, which is why things are a bit sketchy. If I come across any info though, I'll let you know. 3. I've travelled on the Indian Pacific between Sydney and Adelaide a few times and it is a great train, being a pensioner I had free travel within NSW but paid from Broken Hill to Adelaide and upgraded from 2nd class to 1st class, this cost about $300, return trip, but was well worth the expense as sleeping accommodation (single room with toilet) was included as were meals, which had to be paid for in 2nd class. The meals were wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the train. Wish I could afford the trip through to Perth but that is beyond my purse. Patricia, Australia Hi Helen, I think it was around 1970. My husband worked for the SRA for 20 years as a wagon builder and he retired in 1989.
