Dear Marie, Unless they have reopened SAG are organising their new premises. I think State Records have some Police Gazettes on microfilm. Sincerely,Bill > Contact the Society of Australian Genealogists @ 120 Kent Street Sydney, > I think they have Police gazettes on CD.
Dear Genie, If she had anything to leave then she would be in the NSW Probate Index. Papers for the Probates are available for that period at State Records KINGSWOOD. Sincerely,Bill > Mary, > > Thank you for the email. I have found no other information about Amelia > Atwell. I don't have a marriage cert. I think there is a bit of a mystery

Mary, Thank you for the email. I have found no other information about Amelia Atwell. I don't have a marriage cert. I think there is a bit of a mystery about the marriage to Bernard Fitzgerald, but Amelia married William T Newbury 1929 St Peters, Amelia died 1962.No parents listed. I can't go to far into the researching as her daughter is still living. Thanks for the help. Genie.

Hi Listers Looking for connections to the KERR family Patrick KERR married Mary HUNT in 1923 in Orange NSW Mary died in Marrickville in 1936 and I note that Marrickville is part of Sydney these days. I have no idea if they had a family but in the process of getting a copy of the death certificate that may tell me. NSW Births online only go as far as 1906 darn it :o) thanks Patsy McMillan
Dear Patsy, MARRICKVILLE has always been a suburb of SYDNEY. It is in fact very close to the city as opposed to the newer suburbs. If you look in the Sands Directory of Sydney Residents which finished publication in 1932-3 you may find where they lived. Look under MARRICKVILLE council. At the start of that council area you will find the statistics for the area. Patrick and Mary appear to have had no children up to 1918. That information is on CD. Mary did not leave an estate. That information is on microfiche from the Supreme Court. In New Zealand you may have to turn to a Genealogical Society to get the Sands Directory. Sincerely,Bill > Hi Listers > > Looking for connections to the KERR family >

Hi List, I am helping a family member with their family tree. If anyone is researching the GOUGH name or knows of the person - I would love to hear from you. William John GOUGH - born in South Wales in 1923. He had served in the English and Australian Navies. Was last know in NSW about 40 years ago. Any assistance - would be most welcomed. G'day, Does anyone know of a hotel in Croydon Park that had a publican with the surname of Ireland in the 1950s? Katrina
Dear Dianne, In the Sands Directory of Sydney Residents you will find a better location of where they lived in Oberon Street. I grew up near there and a generation or so later than the period you are talking about there were people named FAINT in Rainbow Street, between Avoca and Canberra Streets, being parallel to Oberon Street. Sincerely,Bill > > Hi > I am new to this list and I am trying to find out about Matthew John > SULLIVAN. In 1917 he married Annie M FAUNT and was living in Randwick. In
