    3. Hi List, Hope SKS with access to the Rookwood CD will do a lookup for this fellow, please? He may be buried in the RAN section. William John GOUGH born in Wales in 1923. I don't have a date of death for him (he's not the fellow on the Ryerson Index d.1985) nor can I find him on the NSW Electoral Roll. I feel he may have died. He would be 84 next month. 3. Hi Marg, from http://www.northsydney.nsw.gov.au/www/html/3825-heritage-databases.asp Kirribilli Street : Formerly known as CAMPBELL STREET after Sydney merchant Robert Campbell, who had acquired Robert Ryan's early land grant in the area. "Kirribilli " comes from the Aboriginal word "Kiarabilli" meaning `a good fishing spot'. Campbell Street : Now known as KIRRIBILLI AVENUE, it was named after Sydney Merchant, Robert Campbell, who acquired Robert Ryan's original land grant of 1800. 2. Bruce Johnston
    3. Hi Marg, Kirribilli Avenue is still there. At the eastern end is Kirribilli House which is the Sydney residence of our esteemed Prime Minister and the western end finished at Broughton Street which is adjacent to the Harbour Bridge. It is a reasonably long street comprising of home unit blocks. The only single dwelling in recent years is (or was) no.51 which is (was) owned by the Waterhouse family of bookmaking fame. Probably the best way to gain the info you want is to consult the electoral rolls either at Mitchell or North Sydney Libraries. 1. [ANS] Joseph MADDEN - Help please
    2. Barbara Cunningham
    3. Hi Listers I am trying to trace the parents of Joseph Madden ! According to family lore he was born in Glebe in about 1857 his mother's name was Maria but his father is unknown. Also according to family lore he emigrated with 2 of his brothers so as i am sure you can imagine I am confused What i know is that Joseph Madden married Matilda Burridge in 1886 in Sydney. I can trace their descendants including Roy Madden their grandson but I am having difficulty going further back. I have 2 Maria Maddens that died fairly early in the 19th century I died in 1902 and according to the death certificate her parents and spouse and children are unknown 'I also found a Maria Madden that was a widow of Francis, she had 16 children, but, not all of them appear to have been registered. So Joseph could have been hers and as Francis died well before he did that could explain why no father was listed on the death certificate. If any one know anything about the Joseph MADDEN that married Matilda BURRIDGE or their descendants i would love to hear from you Regards Barb
