Good morning John; Sincere thanks for your advice re a "World Clock", that I was seeking to find to place on my 'Desktop". Several times; I visited the site you suggested, but was unable to set up a "World Clock" on my "Desktop", but in the process; found "Qlock", which although isn't in the form of a Clock Faces; it does give me the ability to select "World Times" for desired locations and the added beauty of, is that by clicking on the ICON down on the Task Bar near the Desktop Clock; I can display or hide the clocks and they do not overlay whatever I am working on, which to me; is an added bonus. Once again; thank you ever so very much for your interest and assistance. Kindest Regards; Robert KEMSLEY

Greetings Maree My guess would be that Michael was buried in the Devonshire St cemetery, in 1860, I beleieve that it was 'the' cemetery for Sydney at that time There is a book by Sainty and Johnson with Devonshire St. in the title which lists many of the burials which took place there The Devonshire St. cemetery also no longer exists I think it closed around 1890 and was built when Sydney Central railway station was built around 1900, I am sure that if you googled 'history and Devonshire St cemetery you would get a lot of info I have also taken the liberty of copying this email to two other mailing lists, there are some wonderfully knowledgeable people on the net and perhaps one of them can add to this email all the best patrick Callaghan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Maree Larsen" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, October 23, 2010 5:02 PM Subject: Michael RICE d. 1860 > Hi Patrick .. > I am just wondering ... > I have an ancestor Michael Rice who died in Sydney in 1860 ... > on his death cert it states that he was buried > 22 November 1860 ... Alison wrote for John re target ENID ANN WALTON: There is a 1904 Wallsend [Newcastle] NSW Birth record in the name ENID A. WALTON whose parents were named as Matthew and Hannah. A sister Jean bn 1914 at Burwood. In 1902 WALTON, MATTHEW married LIDDELL, HANNAH at MEREWETHER. Merely clues. Consider. A 1900s valid death ref to the death/ burial/ obit etc for <any> Enid is likely to name her parent/s. Even if she died as a married woman thus having an unexpected surname recorded. This craft/ hobby is plagued with obstacles and other irritations. Best be ready to exercise a ton of imagination with each pound of logic!! John, As an alternative to Bill's suggestion to request a look-up from the Ryerson site, and as you apparently live in Sydney, the State Library in Macquarie Streete, as well as a few municipal council libraries/family history centres, have the relatively current SMH on film. Perhaps you are able to visit the State Library or check your nearest municipal library yourself to find the relevant notice.
