    3. Bob, What dates are you looking for? You can search the NSW BDM index on-line http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/ it's free to search and you can order certificates from here. Births can be searched 1788-1910, deaths 1788-1980, marriages 1788-1960. Pre-1856 is church registers - baptisms, marriages, burials - but they contain little information. Many of these records have been filmed. Post 1856 it's civil registration - births, marriages, deaths - some parish registers have been filmed. All films available locally - unfortunately none is on-line. You can order the relevant certificate on-line from the registry or more cheaply via a transcription agent - details on the website homepage. Small amendment to spelling of your places of interest: Penrith; Roc*k*dale; Waterloo; Willou*gh*by. Alison :-) Sydney Australia ------------------------------- Bob Stephenson wrote: > Hello everyone, i am new to your list but not new to genealogy except when it comes to Australia. I would like to ask if it is possable to research parish records in Australia? I have people born in Penrith, Rochdale, Waterloo and Willouby and would like to search for baptismal infrmation if possable. Any help would be appreciated. > > Bob > > > >

    3. Hi Everyone Does anyone know where I can find information on the 'Hallgrens" who used to perform on stage around the WW1 time up untill the late 1920's early thirties please. I know that they were involved in the performance of "The Seven little Australian's' on stage and I would like to find more details of their history and perfomances. I was told that they performed at one time with Sir Robert Helpman. Any help much appreciated kind regards Dianna

The name and age of all children should be included in the Death Registration of both parents? NB Should be!!!! 3. Hi Bob, I don't know much about Sydney Parish records, but as I understand it all baptisms were recorded as such along with the BDM records. I have baptism records for Tasmania and New South Wales that I've obtained from the standard channels. You can check here for NSW births dating back to 1788. http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/Index/IndexingOrder.cgi/search?event=birth s Rae
