Hi Carol Sorry don't know your John Bowmer - but seem to remember there being a Bowmer Street around Rockdale /Arncliffe. Napper Family were a very prominent name in Rockdale until approx late 70's - early 80's. Had produce store and Fruit & Veg stores in Rockdale etc. Electoral Rolls may help here.
