Hi Everyone I have received a death transcription for Sarah Ann Newton, prev HUGHES nee GENDERS who died 22nd June 1945. The place of death was 157 Parramatta Road Annandale. Her daughter Daisy Hughes of the same address registered her death. Her cremation was at Rookdale crematorium and the funeral directors were J J Crockett & co Pty. ltd. Now for the questions, i hope someone on this list can help. I would like to know if there are any resources available such as business directories for the address for 1945? Does anyone know if the house still exists? Would the crematorium have further information or the funeral directors? Sarah's children from her marriage to Robert Hughes are listed as Daisy aged 64, Lily aged 63, Coronella 61 years (married Alfred J Campey in 1908 at Sydney). A son Robert aged 59 but on the shipping records he is listed as Robert NEWTON (which is a bit of a puzzle). Hope someone can help kind regards joy England
