    3. Julie, Can't help with your problem, however, just for general information, NSW births are not on public access after 1918, so not possible to find any children of the Westall marriage. NSW marriages and deaths only on public access to 1945 (and are on-line - births up to 1905 on line too) so can't give you details of Amy's death in 1948. www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/ and search the historical indexes Re the divorce bit: I presume you are looking in NSW? There are some divorce records available at NSW State Records, BUT they aren't indexed by year or alphabetically, but if they are indexed at all are indexed under the name of the judge who tried the case!! And not all of them have survived - it's a bit hit and miss and you would have to go to the State Records office in Sydney to look at them (not easy from QLD unless you want to have your hols in NSW). The cases of divorce coming up to be heard were often listed in the Sydney Morning Herald - but rather tedious to go through them all unless you had a good idea of the date. If you wanted detail of deaths after 1945 then you would need to apply directly to the Registry of BDM in Sydney - if you aren't sure of the dates you want, they will do a search for you - I think around $28 per ten year search.
