Hi Julie here again I wish to post my surname interests with my other family line the Justus and Muller/Miller family. JOHANN JUSTUS was one of 6 winegrowers and their families to emigrate from Germany in arriving in Sydney on 22nd April 1838. They settled around the Camden area working on the property of William Macarthur the brother of Major Edward Macarthur. Major Macarthur recruited this first group of Germans with winegrowing skills. His wife was APPOLONIA PETRI and their daughter AGNES JUSTUS (sometimes misspelt JUSTICE) married FRANZ MELCHIOR MULLER in 1856. FRANZ MELCHIOR MULLER was the son of FRANZ ANTON MULLER born in Jagstfeld Wurtemburg Germany and MARIA JULIANNA SCHWAIGER from Hagenbach. They emigrated to Australia in 1855 with their 4 children and had 4 more in Australia. My KERSHAW line comes in when my Great Grandad ANTHONY JACOB MILLER son of Franz M Muller and Agnes Justus married my Great Grandma ALMA CONSTANCE KERSHAW in 1903. The name Muller changed to Miller for some members of the family. If anyone has an interest in this please contact me.
