Hi, I am researching Rebecca Brown, who emigrated to Australia on the Denmark Hill in 1827, the Browne family who emigrated to Australia in 1816 (the family of William "Merchant" Browne), Mary Anne Clarke, who was born in Braidwood c.1860, and John Holmes (husband of Mary Ann Clarke). John Holmes married Mary Ann Clarke in Bombala in 1875. On his daughter's death certificate he is named as Alexander Holmes.
