I have been researching my grgrgrandfather's. Francis McCrohan, life in Australia, and, during this research I came across the name of George LAMB in reference to his part in the capture of Jacky Jacky in 1841. I found the information in: In Letters 1800-1849, Colonial Secretary, New South Wales, Film # 0990733 which I ordered from my local LDS Family History Center in Washington State, USA. Following is the information from article #41/6174 or 9 as the writing is unclear. George LAMB--Roslyn Castle (3); Year of Arrival--15 September 1834; Where tried--Essex; When--30 November 1833; Sentence--Life; 6th October 1836--36 Lashes for Drunkeness. He was recommended for a pardon by Edward Gray of Sutton Forest for his part in Jacky Jacky's capture. There are other documents regarding Jacky Jacky's capture on this film. I hope this information is of help to LAMB researchers, as researchers on the Australian lists I belong to have generously been of great help to me. Mary Margaret
