Thank you Rose Marie, for the information re Blanche Stringer. Whether the death you have given is for "my" Blanche Stringer or not, I have no wat of knowing. It could be her, she was born about 1891/2 according to the age given on her marriage cert. I have never been able to trace her on any birth index either in England or Scotland or any other known source, and can only assume that the surname she gave on her mrriage, may have been false. When she had the child Gordon Graham Stewart Stringer, she stated her maiden name ws Fraser, and she dropped the middle name of Eileen, so it is all confusing. The father of the child was one with a different name to that of George Stringer,on the divorce papers, he was named as Ernest Hawkyard! Would it be possible for m to obtain any information on the death document, who and where should I contact to obtain this? My father never knew his parents or anything about them, he was put into a cildrens`s home when very young. Eric Jarvis
