    3. Hi Nicole, There are no census records kept except a few small towns I think and you'd have to be extremely lucky it was your town! There is a muster in 1828 I think which is in book form and CD so a family history group may have it to look up. Other incomplete very early censuses may be available too but there were more a census of convicts and where they were and of stock records of landholders. I thought no census details survived at all until I was told by someone else of the few townships that survived for some reason. Perhaps they never handed them in!!! Except for State Records, I have no further suggestion as to where you might find them to view. That is why with our censuses of recent times, there has been a push for people to say 'yes' to keeping the records on file. Those who didn't choose yes to question 60 or what ever the relevant question was, will have their records destroyed once analysed. Lynette Lynette Begg P.O.
