There is a code box at the bottom of the search results in early MARRIAGE record sites e.g. View list of Early Church Record Codes. For an example try this search: Groom's surname : ROSE Bride's surname : CROSS Years to be searched: 1850-1860 Although the record of this marriage doesn't include a code eg, JC, you will find the code box underneath.
