Looking for assistance....I am currently researching my ancestors (Evans family) who lived and died in Coonamble during the late 1800s. I have records of the death of Johannah Evans and for 4 of her sons one of whom was my great grandfather Matthew Evans. He died in Mudgee in 1912. I am trying to trace the father of the family, Thomas Evans, who was said to be a surveyor. The family arrived from Tasmania in approx 1850, and Thomas was related to the early explorer George William Evans. Is there anybody out there who has information on Thomas? Diane in South Australia.
