Hi Lacharna, The 'V' before a registration number denotes that the birth, death or marriage happened prior to official registration and that these dates have been taken from church records. I'm not sure what the 'V' actually stands for, though. I'm sure that someone more knowledgeable than I am will be able to tell us. Hope this helped a little.
