Hi Kathryn, I guess there is a possibility here that they could be brother and sister. Do you happen to have any members of his family please? Or names of his parents - of his offspring. Isabella named her first born son (fourth child) Edward William Mille TICKELL none of which were her husband's given name (John). I believe Isabella was born around 1816.
