    3. The Sun Herald 8 November 1953 Sports Section FIGHTING BLOOD Dempsey, a well-named two-year-old half-brother of Welloch, arrived from New Zealand last week. The colt is by Knock Out II from Chorine. Dempsey is owned by prominent Adelaide racing man Mr. Dan Moriarty, who also owns Welloch. BIG STAKES FOR MALAY RUNNER Australian horses have had a remarkable season in Malaya, having won 361,304 Straits dollars (A51,615 pounds) stake money. Guilty, a mare by Confessor from Guilt Veil, was raced in Sydney by Sir Samuel and Mr. S. Hordern and trained by F. T. Cush. Forest Beau was raced in Australia by Mr. E. R. Williams, owner of Hydrogen. Mile Winner Hioniti had several trainers in Australia including J. W. McCurley, W. M. McCurley, and A. J. Doyle. Snow Blaze, trained at Canterbury by R.
