Dear Listers, New subscriber - I am researching the surname MOULANG. French Huguenots who fled to Ireland. The name originally was du Moulin ( or Dumoulin, Moulin and other spellings.) The 1881 census incorrectly gives Monland, Mouland and Moolen. I have no idea where the Moulang's who immigrated to Australia settled and would be grateful to hear from anyone who might be researching Moulang or one of its derivations or from anyone knowing of any members of the family living in Australia. My branch of the family (my maiden name was Moulang) settled in Ireland late 1600's but moved to England early or mid 1800's. My g.grandfather was a Henry M. and my grandfather was Thomas Henry M. - popular names in the family. I have a nephew, John Moulang, who has been living in Sydney for the last 20 years or more, but I do know there are others and would appreciate hearing of them I know that two daughters of my uncle Henry Thomas Moulang moved to Australia but I do not know their married names. Any help will be appreciated. Irene Kiggen, Port Elizabeth, South Africa. mwkiggen@mweb.co.za Any help will be much appreciated, Irene Kiggen, Port Elizabeth, South Africa. mwkiggen@mweb.co.za
