Hi Listers, Reposting my interests. The National Australian telephone directory lists 27 different MOULANG families living in Australia, at the present time. I have posted this request before and several listers responded, for which I was very grateful. The Australian Vital Records index gives imformation about the marriage of Joseph Moulang to Emily E Brady in 1886 and the birth of their son David in 1887. Unfortunately the SKS who provided this info did not have copies of the later AVR's and I would be very grateful if someone, who has copies of these records, could do a look-up of the later entries for BMD's for me. The 1881 census has transcribed the name as MONLANG, family living in Ramsgate, Kent at this time. Variants of the name are spelt as Mowlang, Mouling, Moulany, Moulange, Moolan, and many other variations, in other documents.. Name originally French Huguenot <du Moulin> who fled to Ireland in the late 1600's. My family were mostly born in Dublin until the mid 1800's when some of the family moved to London. My g.g.grandfather was a Joseph Moulang and I feel that the Joseph marriage mentioned in the first paragraph is probably a family connection. Moulang is an unusual name and of the 27 families in Aus surely someone must have a connection to my line - I would be so thrilled to discover this which would enable me to fill in some of the gaps between Pierre and Florance du Moulin Dublin in + - 1680's and my existing family.
