Hi all I read last week were Greg and Sharon were puting a book together for an 80th birthday and would like to do the same for my Aunt who will be 80 year in may. I have no idea as what to include apart from parents grandparnets and sisters, marrages and children, grandchildren. Would anyone have an idea of what they would include or what they would like included in theirs if it was made. I do have the family tree for Norma A BELFORD Nee BIDDLES back straight back for up to 4 generations and the BELFORD back for a couple as well. Thanking you all Suzi ps sorry if this is off the topic.
Dear Margaret, Thankyou for that map of Sydney. It is a little small but I will try to enhance the image. It's great as it gives an idea of where my great great grandparents were living at a particular time. Regards Nicole NORTHERN NSW
Thank you Rob for that website I will visit it out of curiosity. Stuey has graciously sent me a detailed email with regards to my enquiry, so I thank you both for your assistance. Sharon

Hi Russell, Thanks for getting back. You say that you may have met Bruce VEITCH, any leads on how I might track him?? Regards, Brent SMITH
Brent, Back in those early days meeting someone with the name Veitch was just a coincidence. Now it is a different matter. I think I have actually met him and even played football with him. No relation. Even though I now have over 2000 Veitches in Australia in my database I very, very seldom come across one closely related. Thanks for the thought. When I was a kid back in Balmain, Sydney I had a friend Bruce VEITCH. Just wondering whether he may be known to you. I lived there up till about 1958. However only headstones are there and it does not include the plaques etc of the Rookwood Crematorium. I found those by enquiring at the Cremtorium Office. If no headstone you will need to get information from the relevant office at Rookwood as the CE, RC, Independent etc are in separate offices. I searched for GG Grandmother Margaret Brown for many years between 1874 when last child born and 1894 when husband died and it has widowed on his death certificate. Her parents names were not known until recently and that would not have helped as unknown appears as the parents' names. The Rookwood CD has GG Grandfather Richard Brown and when the grave was located, lo, and behold, there are 5 names on the headstone - but only one in the CD! Interestingly one was a son I did not know about as he does not appear in BDM indexes, fiche etc. IT had hbis age when killed so I have been able to estimate his birth year. Joan
