    1. READY, GOODY, REILLY, ARENTY, SLACK
    2. Mary Ross
    3. Hi - I've joined this list because I'm desperately seeking descendents of Eliza READY (Reddy) and John GOODY who were married in 1857 in Albury. NSW BDM index lists several children born who died as infants 1858, 1859, 1861, 1868 and 1875 including the only male child. Surviving children were Mary b. 1862, Ann b. 1864 and Sarah b. 1866. All children seem to have been born in Tumut. John died in Albury in 1889. I cannot find Eliza's death record in either NSW or Victorian indexes. Mary married Peter Joseph ARENTY in 1880. Sarah married Edward Reilly in Tumut in 1891. Their children were Margaret E. b. 1892 Tumut (? married Joseph J. Fitzpatrick, Redfern 1916) Edward J. b. 1894 Gundagai (? married Amy Walker and/or Veronica M. Bell or Elizabeth E. Wilson ) Daisy B b. 1898 Junee (d. 1906) Lilian b. 1899 Junee (?maried Olive C.A.Smith 1926 Newtown) Minnie b. 1902 Junee m. Henry Rosengren, Junee 1933 Any information about descendents of any of these gratefully received - there is a family reunion being organised in March 2002 of the Reddy/Ready/Reedey families. Four Reddy siblings came out from Ireland in the 1850's - arrived Brisbane - John, William, Mary and Eliza. Descendents of John and William (now with different spelling variations of the surname) are organising the reunion and have sought out family of the two girls. Mary married William SLACK and lived near Rosewood Qld. I'm descended from them. Eliza's whereabouts were unknown to the family - only a mention that she was married in NSW. It would be a shame for the reunion to go ahead without Eliza's descendents. I'm guessing she's the one married to John Goody but only contact with descendents who know something about the family history will confirm this. PLEASE HELP! Thanks, Mary Ross Brisbane
