I am looking for the death of Mary Henderson possibly after 1900.She would have been born about 1833 in Cork Ireland. She married Samuel John Parker Gill in 1859 in Horsham Vic.Samuel supposedly died about 1864 in Chiltern Vic.and Mary remarried a John Henderson. She had a son to John Henderson -Alexander.She also had two sons to Samuel.Somewhere the three boys have changed their surnames to Parker.I suspect there would have not been an official way to change names pre 1900.Deed poll didn't come into being until after 1900.An old Aunt told me years ago that Mary and her 2nd husband(John Henderson) moved to the ?Murrumbidgee area. They had a property there. The husband spent any money they had on alcohol and when Mary died the boys "got nothing".Another story is that Mary was a publican in the Riverina area but I cannot find that either.Alexander was my Grandfather and he died in1952 in Dubbo. His half brothers' names were William Henry Gill and (?Samuel) John Gill.Mary's maiden name was Bressinan/Brushingham/Bristowhen/Bristonhem or any similar spelling.Seems Mary could not read or write so anything looked ok.Hoping sks may be able to help me some how.I cannot find Samuel John Parker Gills' death either in Vic.or NSW.Regards Elaine

I am tracing decendants of Richard COLES and Maria MUDGE (my Great Great Grandparents), and would be interested in hearing from people who are tracing similar lines, or who have a tie in to this line. Details are as follows: At this point, I do not know much about Richard and Maria at all, only that they were probably born, married and died in Devonshire England. I do not know how many children they had in total but, their son, Francis Ernest COLES (aka Frank) is my Great Granfather. He was born between 1886-1890 in Torquay Devonshire England. He came to NSW between 1912-1914, probably with the Navy. In 1914 he was a 'stoker' on the HMAS Melbourne. He married Alice RAMSDEN in 1912 in Surry Hills NSW. He died in 1963 in Toongabbie NSW. The descendants of Frank and Alice in NSW (that I know of) are : Ernest Edwin COLES (1914 - 1977) married Doreen Veronica WALLACE in 1939 (my Grandparents) Darrell Ernest COLES (born 1942) 1 Son and 1 Daughter John Edwin COLES (born approx 1943-1945) 2 Daughers and 1 Son Alan George COLES (born 1945) married Lynette Margaret CRERAR in 1965 (my Parents) 2 Sons - myself and my brother Alice Maud COLES (born approx 1916-1918) married Clement Francis GAINSFORD in 1939 1 Daughter that I know of Lily L COLES (born approx 1921-1923) June COLES (born approx 1922-1923) died in infancy in 1923 Frederick George COLES (aka George) (born approx 1924-1926) married Betty KEETLEY in 1946 1 son and 1 dauther that I know of There could also be 1 other female born to Frank and Alice, who died in infancy - but as yet unconfirmed. Details of this line, and all branches of my family can be found at: http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=igc Feel free to check it out and contact me if you are tracing similar lines. Thanks, Ian Coles.
