Hello, just .listing my interests. Thomas KING & Lilly KING (Nee RANDALL) parents of Emma Adelaide KING (B. Launceston 1887) & Albert Victor KING (B. Waratah 1889, D. Longford 1898). Emma had a child out of wedlock to a George HUXLEY. (Lilly KING (Nee Randall) moved to Sydney in the mid 1910-1920, her husband Thomas KING either died or left the marriage in the same time frame. Emma KING seemingly never returned to her lost and heart-broken love in Tassie. Lilly had a sister who died in Sydney in 1913 She was either Mary Ann or Catherine Ann RANDALL who married either Walter Brown or William HAMILTON. Can anyone link into this information ??..the daughter of Emma Adelaide KING & George HUXLEY would be over-joyed to understand her unknown family before she too, passes on (She is in her 90's now) Environmental Petroleum Systems PO Box 5080, Cheltenham. Hello everyone, I doubt you will be able to either get through to me or that I will be sending any emails for nearly a month. Anyone needing to contact me urgently, can try on my old START number which I will try and access regularly from my local library. wynnford@start.com.au It would seem that Global Freeway is clogged and have decided to upgrade their system. This means that regional users like myself, will be shut down until they do that upgrade. We have been told there is a way to receive and send our email, by using an STD call number, which will cost..........but I have a feeling we may not do so. TTFN...........Wynnette

I am researching my great-great-grandparents: Charles WALKER born circa 1807 in Cork (Ireland) Ann(e) HICKEY born circa 1822 in Tipperary (Ireland) (I hope the indented layout of the above four lines gets displayed correctly on your email reader. If not, please let me know, and I'll refrain from using this style of layout.) The latest state of my research is presented in a private website (initially intended as a means of exchanging data with members of my family) at http://gamone.free.fr/walker.html. I'm a 60-year-old Australian, but I live in France. So, it's not easy for me to carry out genealogical research in Australia... although the situation is improving considerably thanks to the Internet. I hope this message will find its way to some of the other numerous descendants of Charles Walker in Australia. This recently-created list is an excellent initiative, and it appears to be working well. Maybe the administrator (aided by members) might think about introducing some kinds of general principles, subject-line conventions and abbreviations. For example, a basic question: In the case of multiple surnames, should we post a separate message for each name? 0I am also researching John LUCAS who lived in Redfern, NSW. He emigrated in 1838 from Co. Tyrone, Ireland and married Anne MITCHELL in 1844 who emigrated from Co. Monaghan in 1842. John LUCAS arrived on the same ship "Minerva" as his uncle David DICKSON and his family. Minerva was a fever ship, and David Dickson, his wife Margaret and infant son died at the Quarantine Station on arrival. John Lucas was left with four orphaned DICKSON children to look after. They were Benjamin b.1826, Robert Blackwood b.1829, William b. 1832 and George b. 1834. I would love to know how these DICKSON children fared. Any descendants out there?
