Hi everybody, I am trying to find the whereabouts of MORRISON, William Lawrence b. 3 November 1958 in Forbes, Nsw. He married HESSELL, Martha. His parents were MORRISON, Andrew Lawrence b. 1873 and CARNEY, Laura Edith Eliza b. 20 April 1878. He was the Minister for Science with the Labor Party many years ago and was on TV this year for some reason but I didn't see it. I am pretty sure he lives in or around Sydney but couldn't be certain. Could someone help me with some information or advice on how to find him. I think he could be the key to finding out if my Grandfather had any siblings. Thankyou Sheryl.
I am looking for a Terrence MAHER who emigrated to Australia, date unknown. He supposedly became a civil engineer, living in Sydney and working for the government. I do not know if he married or had kids, tho he may have been single around 1919. He was born in 1859 in Ballyloughan, RC Parish of Bagenalstown, County Carlow, Ireland. His mother was a BYRNE. I do not know when or where he died. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Debbie

Hi Margaret Saw your posting re Snell. Last year I wrote a book on James Phillips WEBBER, the first European landholder at Tocal, near Paterson, where I work. According to the 1828 census of NSW, a convict named John SNELL was assigned to James Webber at Tocal. The census shows John SNELL as aged 30, arrived on the ship Norfolk in 1825 with a seven year sentence. He was a protestant, with the occupation of stockkeeper. I think I have a little more information on him in my research notebooks, so let me know if he is an ancestor and I will dig further. Also you may wish to join the Hunter Valley email list, as I am fairly sure one or two people on that list are researching SNELL. Hope this helps. Regards, Brian -- Brian Walsh at Martins Creek NSW (Reseaching all who worked on 'Tocal' near Paterson NSW - see www.tocal.com)

I am currently in the process of moving houses. I should be settled in the next few weeks. Up until then, I will try to keep on top of the various bounced messages and emails from subscribers requesting help. I apologise now for what may seem like tardiness on my part to emails or bounced messages that take a few days to get actioned. Cheers for now - Ian.

I am researching the 'MOY' families who arrived on the New York Packet 1841. They mostly settled in the Raymond Terrace area of the Hunter Valley. As their were so many of them I have undertaken a mini one name study to attempt to sort them all out. I would be happy to share any information that I have with interested parties. If you are a decendent or distant branch please make contact as all information will help with this puzzle. Regards Elizabeth Marshall
