    3. I thought the email below might be of interest to subscribers to this list. Cheers - Ian. List Administrator. ---------- From: Marilyn Rowan[SMTP:marilynr@australis.net.au] Reply To: Marilyn Rowan Sent: Thursday, 30 November 2000 12:56 To: marilynr@australis.net.au Subject: Removal of Death Registers from NSW Registry The conversion of all the NSW Death registers to computer images has now been completed. We have heard (although not officially) that the NSW Death registers may be removed from the NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages and archived in only a few weeks time. We have not been advised of a firm date, nor are we aware of any immediately planned alternative arrangements for obtaining information from the death registrations, other than the purchasing of a full- price, official certificate. It might therefore be advisable for anyone planning to obtain a death transcription to submit the request as quickly as possible so that the information can be obtained before the death registers are removed. At this stage we anticipate that the transcription of births and marriages will continue to be available for some time, as the scanning of marriage registers is still at an early stage, and the scanning of birth registers has not yet begun. We will keep you informed of developments and on my web site at http://www.marbract.com.au --- Marilyn Rowan Marbract Services N.S.W Birth, Death & Marriage Certificate Transcription Agent ABN 88 982 438 809 Phone: +61 2 9543 8156 Fax: +61 2 9541 1246 E-mail: marilynr@australis.net.au Home Page: http://www.marbract.com.au - ------------------------------------------------------------

There are no subscribers to the list with a flatearth address so I don't know who is not getting their messages from the list. All I can think of is that a subscriber has redirected their mail, or has options set up in their mail system that are causing the list to try to send emails to flatearth. If you use flateath.net.au, and you get this message, can you please contact me off the list so that I can try to work out who is not getting their messages from the list. Thanks and regards, Ian.
