    1. Twins & Generations- Genie Stuff
    2. Don Johnston
    3. My apologies to those who are Cross-Listed and to My Cross-Post !! Hi Fellow Searchers and those who are frustrated, (My understanding of being called a Genie is that I haven't yet got that talent or understanding or knowing what's out there to look at, let alone understand and soak in, thus the Researcher title). I think I have an interesting quandry in my search for my brick wall and was wondering if my Peers ou there in this fabulous List could mentor me with ??. I'm researching a "Skeleton in the Cupboard" (damn it, it's so hard but I need the answer to satisfy an unknown father and all the rest that goes with it, for my Mother). I think I have the link, but for obvious reasons (No Father on the birth certificate etc' etc'). There are twins in the generations, .... The question is, based on logic, and all the rest (Cause I'm really looking at needles in the haystack, almost ow into genetics...and I am seriously ignorant of that) ...Is there a site, or, a research body, or someone who's done a thesis on "Twins", which could be approached to answer the ratio's, gambles, or whatever on genetic probablilities on twins re-appearing through the generations, or what generations to who or why ???. I know, in my case, it's a possiibility and maybe not a probability, but the overall consensus on a conclusion just could help in not being led astray ?? Sorry this is so long but it's the only way I think I can present the thought concept I have to travel a little further up my brick wall, and, it may be of interest to some others. I do know there's other "Kind Sould" out there who are more learned than I. Best Wishes to all on the list for Chrissy Don Environmental Petroleum Systems PO Box 5080, Cheltenham. Victoria. 1. DITTON &/OR RUMING
    2. Kay Cockram
    3. Dear Members I am looking for the families of DITTON and RUMING. On the DITTON side I am trying to find the death of Alice SCOTT nee DITTON. Alice was the daughter of John DITTON who married Sarah Ann AUSTEN c. 1836 and who came to Australia in 1838 on the ship WESTMINSTER. Alice married Enos SCOTT in 1867 and I have gone through all indices I can find on deaths from 1867 and cannot find a death for Alice SCOTT. As well, I have gone through marriage indices for Enos SCOTT in case Alice died and Enos remarried. Any leads would be wonderful, especially anyone who may know if there were a book done up at any time for the DITTON family. RUMING:- This family married into the DITTON family and vice versa. I am looking for the descendants of Ellen Elizabeth RUMING born 1856. Mary Jane RUMING born 1860. Emily RUMING born 1863. The other brother of the above - Robert Joseph RUMING is my ancestor and I can pass on any information about him and his descendants. Thank you for getting this far. Kay cockramk@halenet.com.au

    3. Dear Listers, As advised above I am researching the name MOULANG. Originally French Huguenots who fled to Ireland (Dublin) . the name at that stage was du Moulin. I understand that there is someone in Australia researching this name. Their interest was published in the journal of the au/huguenot society? in June 1999 with reference "1800+irl+aus". I would appreciate if SKS could advise me whether the researcher has an e-mail address to enable me to contact them. Your assistance would be appreciated. Irene Kiggen, Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

    3. Hi Bill and Michele Stewa , Tks for replying to my appeal - what a wonderful background you have for your research. I came across three entries in a reference book in the library (can't remember the name) which gives details of your Pierre du Moulin also Peter and their connection with the church in England. I doubt that there is any connection although one never knows. In Dublin there is a very large plaque at the Huguenot's graveyard at Merrion Row, Dublin. It names all the Huguenot surnames of those buried therein and Du Moulin is one of the names on the plaque. The earliest connection in my line appears to be a Pierre Moulin (born c.1663) and his wife Florance, they had two children Pierre and Jean. The father died in 1758 at the age of 95. I have a feeling that there were a great many Pierre (du) Moulin's around in those days. Tks again for your message. Irene Kiggen, Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
