Hello My name is Pamela and I am new to the list however, I have been researching for over 20 years. I am very interested in any information on the children of "William Morris Hughes," ex prime minister of Australia. I have been researching his family for over 8 years and know more about him than I do about any of my previous presidents here in the USA. The problem is, there is VERY LITTLE information on his children. Edith, his oldest daughter came here, to the US after marrying a Mr. James P. Bourke in 1910. Any information on him would be appreciated. My main interest in his family are his last two daughters from his first spouse, Elizabeth Cutts. The 2 daughters in question are Lily C. HUGHES born 1892 and Dorothea E. (Dolly) HUGHES born 1895. A book written by W. Farmer Whyte in 1957 was totally inaccurate concerning the information given on HUGHES, chalderns birthdates and facts of their lives. Information on any direct descendants of Mr. HUGHES would also be of great use. Thank You, Pamela Seattle

A fatal fire on 18 August 1920 at Kalkie Rd., Bundaberg. William CAMBRIDGE was a native of Huddersfield and I haven't been able to locate his Birth record . He carried on a small tobacconist and Billiard Saloon at East Bundaberg. I have the Inquest details, but would like to know if there is a Headstone or record of his burial. It was in the General Cemetery and he was a member of the Australian Forces in W.W.1.. His son is still alive and lives in U.S.A. and I am his niece, Mary, New Zealand.
