This is a further appeal in an attempt to put together the DITTON family tree. Over the years my mother Marie DITTON concentrated on researching the descendants of John DITTON 1817 - 1905 who is her husband - Robert Allan DITTON's ancestor. John and his wife arrived in Australia via the Westminster in 1838. In her research of the Pioneer Records etc. many DITTON names emerged that did not tie in with this line. We wonder if the early arrivals could have been brothers or relations of John and his wife Sarah Ann/Ann/Hannah AUSTEN who were married in Kent, England in 1836. Their first child John was born and died in 1840 at Muswellbrook, NSW and the next child William John b: 21st May 1841 at Muswellbrook; also. William John was to become my father - Robert Allan DITTON's grandfather. The DITTONs eventually settled at Black Mountain, via Guyra. After Ann's death in 1852, John married for the second time in 1859, Margaret HAMILTON. Maybe someone has a list of early arrivals, say between 1830 and 1850 that may put some light on things. Unfortunately my Mother is having difficulties in continuing with her research and I would like to assist her with some answers re the early DITTONS . About 20 years ago she had some contact with a "Paul WEELDON and also Kathleen JONES, who were descended from Robert DITTON. Is it possible there may be someone who could help with this or is there another DITTON line that may link up in any way. It is the very early connections we are hoping to "blend". Sincerely Kay COCKRAM nee DITTON and Marie DITTON nee HEYDON
