    3. Hi People, Apologies to everyone for cross posting. This website has old newspapers from 1840 - 1845. "A digital library of Australian journals that began publication between 1840-1845" >From a quick browse, it has the full newspaper scanned. You can search or browse. I didn't realize that there were so many newspapers on the go during that time. There is mention of Police Reports with lots of names, Shipping Arrivals and Departures. In the Index of The Colonial Literary Journal, there is 'Foreign and Domestic Intelligence, Local News, Shipping, Births, Marriages, and Deaths &c.- and the page numbers. You might get lucky and find your rellies. http://www.nla.gov.au/ferg/ The website leading to this one has other newspaper links if you are interested. http://bcdlib.tc.ca/links-subjects-newspapers.html Regards ..· ´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ ..·´ Robin -:¦:- -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´* Don't assume malice for what stupidity can explain.

    2. Deb
    3. Hi Joy Rather than certificates I would suggest a transcription agent (only available in NSW) - they can check the register for matching info and if the correct registration can upgrade to a full transcription (not a legal document but all info is there) - a cheaper version - have a look at the website for the 3 available here - http://www.joymurrin.com.au/ or http://www.marbract.com.au/ or http://home.iprimus.com.au/lturtle/ Cheers Deb
