    3. Tanya, I guess people have told you about the naa.gov.au and the awm.gov.au, (tell them you want his name on a honour board and they might speed up the request), I was interested in the name, as my g/grandfather had a son Robert and another Samuel, (we know where that name originated), also the name THOMAS is through the line. I've got a missing 2 x g/grandfather who could have remarried and had another family, more a curiosity thing now. 3. Tony and Darlene, Jenelle here, just had a quick squiz at your site, have Langford (connects to Collins which connects to Page which connects either to Norris or Morris). Also Pallier married a Page, and noted a Watson in England, well have a Mary Watson married a Charles Collins in Hampstead, their son Charles Collins married Maria Page 1868, (her parents were Peter Page/Maria Norris or Morris - her old man we think was a convict tied up with the irish uprising). Any interest. 3. Judy, I have them in the Murrurundi area, then in Narrabri 1878, then Charles Collins goes missing (I've misplaced him, he was a boundary rider at Nowley Station), I don't know if he died or him and his wife Maria (nee Page), took up with a chap called Coveney, first child Walgett area. The Collins eventually moved up towards Charleville area late 1890's early 1900. 3. Hello everyone I'm researching 2 brothers who disagreed about the spelling of their family name so after emigration in 1838 the elder, John McDonell, went off to Bathurst then Goulburn while the younger, Neil, called himself Allan McDonald and went off to Cooma. Is anyone researching either of these families? Margaret

    3. Hi Karen, I think the mystery may be solved if you check the Victorian indexes as well as the NSW ones Francisco Romero married Elizabeth Lee 1854 in Victoria Children (all in the Vic birth index to parents Francisco and Elizabeth) Alice Frances, born B'worth 1857. (Listed in the NSW indexes as dying 1886 at Albury, parents Francisco and Elizabeth) William Francisco b 1859 Vicana Francisco (possibly Vincent?) 1860 Amelia Francisco b 1863 Francisco b 1865 -------------------------------------------------------------- Then in the NSW indexes: Vincent Romero married Eliza Harmer 1883 Albury. Children: Alice F born 1883 Albury (to parents Vincent F/Elizabeth ) William V F b 1885 (died 1885) Catherine b 1887 (but registered in Sydney) Harold b 1890 Lorenza b 1892 Amy E b 1895 Florence b 1897 Elsie b 1900 Dorothy b 1906 (in the Vic index born Wangaratta) -------------------------------------------------------------- Also in the Vic index: Alice Romero (born Albury) married Patrick Querin (also another entry for Quinn) in 1904 in Victoria (reg no. 194) ------------------------------------------------------------------- So it seems Francisco and Elizabeth had a daughter Alice Frances born 1857 in Victoria, died 1886 in NSW, unmarried Vincent and Eliza(beth) had a daughter Alice F born 1883 in NSW and married 1904 in Victoria. Ordering the relevant certificates should sort out who is who. 3. Hi All I am researching the Romero family of Albury, particularly Alice Frances Romero born 1883 and her parents and siblings. I have the dates from the NSW BDM but it says Alice F died in 1886. The Alice F Romero I am looking for lived until 1968 and was my Great Grandmother and was married to Patrick Thomas Quinn. Any help would be appreciated. Karen
