    3. Hi Everyone I have an Annie Newton age 17 arriving on the Orient in Apr 1889. Annie arrived (she is listed as the same fiche no etc) with my Gt Uncle Charles Newton and his Nephew Harry Genders ( i have all their info). At the moment i do not know how Annie and Charles are related or who she is, a cousin perhaps. None of my newly found rellies know either, she is a bit of a mystery. Due to my forthcoming visit would like to find more. I am now trying to locate a possible marriage for Annie. I have found the following possibilities; 1900 John A Borrett @ Broken Hill 1900 Donald McKechnie @ Walgett 1904 Alexander smith @ West Maitland 1907 Thomas L Johnson @ Orange I realise she may not have married but looking for her death would be a lengthy search, as i don't know who her parents are. I have looked on the indexes omitting the parents there are lots! Would like to hear from anyone who can connect to the above marriages. Can anyone please tell me where Walgett is please? Kind regards joy

    3. Hello Alicia: My name is Robert(Bob) Stephenson and i too had great difficulty in retrieving anything about my line in Australia.until, i posted on all Mailing list's and boards did i get a response. The main list i posted to that was the most help was the DPS SYDNEY list. Within 5 days i had gone from knowing exactly what i knew when i searched in England, to talking on the phone to the wife of a descendant. Now i have two family contacts in Australia one of which is also doing the line, although he is just starting out.So if you don't mind some advise, contact these list's especially the DPS list and put all what you have said on the list and ask for their help. They have a lot of peple who will search the newspapers for you and if there is any information there, they will get it. They will help you. Please let me know how things turn out.
