    3. Hello all, After trying to climb a very large brick wall on my side of the family I have decided my husband's side may give me a little relief. I am researching the family of Charles Arthur Hudson (could be from the Mudgee area). I know that Charles died in France and was subsequently buried there. I am also researching the family of Nellie I Cray from the Paddington area of Sydney. Nellie passed away July 18th 1922 Well.... I've got my fingers crossed Regards Betty

I was told that at the end of July, legislation was passed so that the Electoral Commission has curtailed access to the Electoral Rolls to only the State they are in. ie. Queenslanders can only look at the Qld Electoral Rolls at their local District Office. If I wanted to see the whole of Australia, I have to go into the Head Office in the city (Brisbane). I was told that the same thing had happened in other states as well. So NSW people can only have access to NSW Electoral Rolls, and so on, and if they want to look up other states they have to go to the Electoral Roll Head Office in Sydney. How RUDE!! I rang my local member to complain, and after enquiries were made, was told that the reasons were to curtail the commercial companies using the rolls as a selling instrument, and to stop debt collectors using it. The only reason people can look up their own state is to see if they and/or members of their family are enrolled correctly. So now thanks to commercial companies, we can no longer look up people in states other than the one we live in. 2. Dear Listers, Hello Everyone!! I was wondering if there is anyone out there who could search something for me. As I live in Northern NSW it is impossible for me to do the search as the records are only in Sydney. I am after anyone who can access the "Childrens State Relief Fund" on microfiche. It is only available at the State Records Office at either the RockS in Sydney or at Kingswood. Thankyou Nicole AUSTRALIA
