Dear Listers, I have copies of applications to purchase 3 lots of land on the NW side of St George's Basin by John Dawson in the late 1830s. One was already spoken for. He bought at least 1 of the other 2 because on a daughter's marriage certificate in 1847, she and her brother and sister as witnesses gave their address as Erowal. Does anyone have any information about this family? John's wife Mary died but the death is not registered. The date 1846 has been mentioned and I am assuming at this stage that the person has seen a headstone or maybe a church register.
