Hi Scott My Egans began with Patrick, son of William Egan and Mary Mayer, bc1840 Thurles Co Tipperary,Ireland. Arrived NSW on "Hotspur" 1861. Married Elizabeth Scollan 1865 Kiama. Died Conjola 1922. Children--- William John b1866 m (1) Catherine Walsh 1890 (2) Sydney? Josephine Boyle 1902 Edward b1868 m Margaret Walsh 1899 Patrick b1869 m Elsie Pellagreen Phillip b1871 m Elizabeth Ryan 1898 Ellen b 1872 m James Condie 1896 Charles, my grandfather, b1874 m Louisa Jane Myers 1907 Michael b 1877 m Theresa Nowland Messina Margaret b 1879 m Ernest Chard 1906 Mary b 1882 m William Loadsman 1908 Have just learned that William, from Ireland and father of Patrick, also came to Aust in 1860s with his second wife and lots more offspring but I have yet to sort all these out.
