Hello all, I have just started on another branch of the family and discovered that both families spent time in the Shoalhaven area early in the piece. They are the GWYNN/E family, who arrived as assisted immigrants on the Kate in 1855 and the NILON family (arrival unknown as yet) The GWYNN/Es arrived with 4 children then had a child in Sydney in 1857 and then at least one other in Shoalhaven in 1862. The NILON family had at least 7 children including 2 born in Shoalhaven and members were still around BOLONG according to Greville's 1872. I have found a Bolong Road but can anyone tell me if there is/was a town or locality by this name? The parents later moved to Cootamundra with some of the children. Parts of both families ended up in the Northern Rivers area and the families were linked by marriage at least twice. Suzanne Suzanne Francis [email protected]
