CAMPBELL ran the machine over a snake, which clung to the wheel and came round in front of the rider who quickly dismounted. The snake got away.Mr. Peter BOSTON, of Albion Park, on Monday, narrowly escaped being bitten by a snake, 4 ½ ft. long, which he almost trod on going into his bedroom about 6 oclock. His little fox-terrier dog gave the snake its quietus.Mr. Gabriel TIMBS got a mild scare the other day at Albion Park (states the South Coast Herald). As he was opening the door of the School of Arts a big snake presented itself, and Gab. left so suddenly that the snake got away without difficulty.
