I believe it was mostly dairy, with some crops to feed the cattle. I live close to Figtree, and have a book called "The Letters of Rachael Henning" who with her husband was an early settler. The book is published by Penguin and if you can find a copy it's worth reading. If you do a search for "Illawarra Historical Society" you can contact people who would have more information.
