Hello Col I don't have anything on him but, I was curious to know if he had some connection with the other Piercy family, and I went 'fishing around' in the English census for 1841 and 1851. I'm not sure, but I may have found him and his parents, however, the father's name is William Piercy, not George. The Mark Piercy in the two censuses seems to have been christened in 1837 (aged 2) in the parish of St Leonard's, Shoreditch. This Mark is living with his parents, William & Sarah, and his siblings (including a brother, George) in District 25, Dean St, Hoxton Old Town, St Leonards Shoreditch, London. William was a watchmaker. In 1851 Mark is living with his widowed mother and siblings in 5 Bridport Place N.N. Rd (or Rds), Hoxton Old Town, London. Mark's occupation was given as 'lever equipment maker'. I cannot find any Mark Piercy that matches him in the 1861 or 1871 censuses, nor can I find a record of his death. I can send you the complete transcripts of the 1841 and 1851 census info, if you are interested. Regards, Robyn
