Yes, Colin & Tracie. What Kerrie says about the "reply" function is what I'm also getting - "On behalf of Bob" doesn't allow any specific contact - the reply will only go to the whole list. Any ideas? Thank you. Hi Colin & Tracie Yes, that what I always did when I used Outlook Express. I'm now using Microsoft Outlook & I don't know whether this is the problem. For example if I clicked on "Reply" to Bob's email posted today this is what I get - I haven't seen the "On behalf of Bob...." before. It doesn't show Bob's email address like it used to. I'm just using this email as an example of what's happening when I click reply. Any thoughts on how I would reply to Bob privately (if I wanted to, that is)? However with the Email open, the second line says "aus-nsw-se-bounces@rootsweb.com on behalf of Bob Preo [preor@tadaust.org.au]" If you hover the mouse over "Bob" (or whatever the name is) you will get a symbol and a down arrow. The down arrow gives you a whole stack of options regarding that Email address. All list owners in Rootsweb Mailing lists have the choice to mung(e) the return Email address. In some lists to munge or not munge is a pretty hot topic. Peter > No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG.
