Hi everyone., Not been on for a while owing to a new email address and trouble suscribing. Have also been on a visit to the area and attended the History Fair. Have query about electoral roll records which talk about the house in Smith Lane(there is only one at the end of Jane Street) I have a Bessie Leatheam living there in 1903, who I thought was John Athol Henry Leatheam's (one of Nowra's mayors) wife but on further checking I notice that they did not get married until 1916 and she was born 1893 so would have been 8 years old at that time. she was born as Bessie Minikin and married John Athol Henry Leatheam (known as Athol). His mother was also known as Bessie although born Elizabeth smith but if it was her why is her husband ( Stephen Henry Leatheam) down as living in Worrigee Street. Am not even sure where I got electoral records. i think from paid research from Kiama History Centre but wondered if anyone has access to check electoral rolls and if not some ideas of how I could chase it up. i have a photo of the house (as it is today)and was adding it to my file but am now confused as to which family lived there. thanks everyone, Tassie Bev
