thanks vt, for copy of electoral roll and that confirms I was right. Bessie Leatheam lived at Smiths Lane. However Don't electoral rolls usually have correct birth name or weren't they so particular in 1903 so it should not be Elizabeth Leatheam (nicknamed Bessie) and my GGM and also her husband is listed as living at Kinghorn Street, and yet she should be on the electoral roll. I am confused as her son married Bessie Minikin in 1916 and she is usually the Bessie Leatheam, whereas other one Elizabeth Leatheam (born Elizabeth Smith - daughter of John & Jane Eliza Smith) Maybe Elizabeth was at home with her parents temporarily. I don't have the electoral roll myself but couold someone check if John and Jane Eliza Smith were living in Smiths Lane. I know also that John Smith built the first house in Nowra and unsure if that was in Smiths Lane. They later lived at Violet Banks on the corner of East and Junctions Street > > Tassie Bev > To post a message to the AUS-NSW-SE mailing list, send an email to > AUS-NSW-SE@rootsweb.com. > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > AUS-NSW-SE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message > > > -- > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG Free Edition. > Version: 7.5.476 / Virus Database: 269.11.19/953 - Release Date: > 14/08/2007 5:19 PM > >
