    3. Hello Col, Bill and Wendy Thank you for your replies. Wendy, I am most grateful you found the inquest report in the Illawarra Mercury. It confirmed that I had the right Henry Hawkins. I am a bit curious as to what the sale of the "Cottage of Content" was and I especially like that Henry was never known to ill-use his wife. 3. Dear Chris, "A CERTIFICATE BY JUSTICES TO AUTHORISE THE GRANTING OF A LICENSE shows: ............. The Publican's General Licence for the House known by the Sign of the Cottage of Content situate (sic) Larbert in the said District and Colony" was granted to John Stephens on 17.4.1860. This particular licence was valid till 1.7.1861. So this tells you what the 'Cottage of Content' was but not its history for the date you need. Sincerely, Lois. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Randall" <clrandall@aapt.net.au> To: <aus-nsw-se@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, August 12, 2007 3:26 PM Subject: Re: [NSW-SE] Ellen Hawkins > Hello Col, Bill and Wendy > Thank you for your replies. > > Wendy, I am most grateful you found the inquest report in the Illawarra > Mercury.
