Charles Snow was born 1820 in Essex and married Harriet Jennings (b.1839) at St. Omer, Braidwood in 1855. Charles was transported for life for burglary, convicted at the age of 16. In 1846 he was given a ticket of leave and a conditional pardon in 1849 and 1857. Received a grant of 40 acres at Larbert in late 1850's. He became a big landowner and he and Harriet were highly respected. Lois.
