Hello Chris, My first found ancestor in Aus was Robert Kerr from Scotland but from (Greenock, Renfrew, Scotland) arriving in Victoria in 1853. The records indicate that Robert paid for his own passage, rather than committing a minor crime and getting "free" passage. I admit to being a bit irked that I cannot find a convict anywhere in this line of my Ancestry. How un-Australian do you think I feel?
