Hello! I'm new so please bear with me. My interests are family history and local history.My first posting is for my BAMFORD line. Charles and Ann Bamford arrived in New South Wales, 1841 on the ship United Kingdom with their four children Frederick aged 16years, Edwin aged 7years, Emma aged 5years, and Ruth aged 3 years, (Ruth is my line). Charles and Ann had another seven children born Campbelltown and Picton, Mary 1842, Charles 1846, Ann 1848, Thomas, Matilda, Vistula, Alfred, last birth dates are unknown. Charles Bamford was a verger at St Peters Church Campbelltown 1843, Charles Bamford was appointed a constable at Narellan July 1, 1847. Particulars recorded 1852 have him, as a mounted constable at Campbelltown, while living at Picton he retired on a pension as a District Constable in March 1862.
