Christina and John Downes were married at Gunning 13 December 1866. They had about eight children, mostly daughters, registered at Yass. I believe that one of their sons was James Edward Stirling Downes who married Louisa Bridget Hawksley at Goulburn 16 December 1896. I would like to find out where Christina died and contact living descendants. Christina's sisters were Janet(Jessie) Lyell, Jane Elizabeth Frances Best. Half siblings were James Newman, Jane Rowland, Lucy Bell, Agnes Venables and Charles Newman, all originally from the Gunning area. I would be very grateful for any information.
