Hi everyone, After Viv's message, I will come out of hiding. I have been watching messages for quite a while now, so it must be time for me to let the 200 members see MY family names. OK, they are MACKEY, GLASS and FORBUTT in the Braidwood Cooma area. James Mackey (b.1842) came from England (I think he swam) and at age 22 married a local girl, Mary Ann Glass,(b.1843 in Bredbo) They married in Whinstone Valley in 1865. They had 10 children, so with a bit of luck someone out there knows about them. The Forbutt's married into the Mackey family. Samuel Forbutt married Unity Mackey in 1898 in Braidwood. Samuel Forbutt's father was George Forbutt, his mother was Sarah Anne Boncer. I won't go into any more detail here but if any of this rings a bell with anyone please contact me..........please!
